Thanks to those who "re-upped" for the newsletter.
This is probably the last time I will use Constant
Contact. My new service is very picky -- they are
paranoid about spam and unsolicited emails, and I
don't blame them. So again, if you have not already
responded to the notice you received, please do so if
you wish to continue to receive the newsletter.
Also, a special notice for those who are age forty to
fifty. Because we are living longer, healthier lives it is
no longer enough to retire at age sixty-five with a cushy
401k and begin living life as a pastime. (Assuming
you are so lucky to have a fat 401k or other plan!) You
have to plan NOW for how you want to live with your
nest egg, whatever its size. Mary Lloyd, our resident
expert on non-financial pre-retirement planning has
written an article
just for you. Please don't gloss over it. If you don't plan
for the future life you want, you may just become a
Little Old Lady (or a Decrepit Old Geezer ). If you are
close to retirement or already retired, visit the Plus 50
Talent Bank. There you will
find experts Chuck Adams and John Rochford who
offer some cogent
thoughts about aging.

| What Do You Know That Can Help Others? |
 |
|
I asked subscribers to tell me what kind of information
they needed and I received quite a few replies. I
decided to pass some of the responses on to you,
and ask you to offer your help and suggestions. I will
give my two cents worth, but your two cents worth is
important, too. Let us help each other.
Here we go:
Barbara Abernathy wants to know:
1. Anti-aging skin care and cosmetic products that
actually work. They all make these amazing claims.
You can waste a fortune on stuff that just doesn't work,
and most of the time you can't return it. Sometimes the
cheaper stuff works better than the expensive stuff!
2. Shoes that look cute and stylish but don't kill your
feet.

| Mary Lloyd: Shaping Your Work |
 |
|
When we step into the workforce out of high school or
college, we typically consider one option. "Regular full-
time" is by far the most common version of "work."
Then we look longingly toward "the golden years" of
retirement as the solution to our workday blues.
Maybe it's time to consider the shape of your work
when you decide how you want to earn a living. There
are many other options--project work, piece work,
seasonal work, shift work, commissioned sales. How
about work you get done "whenever you can" that's
paid according to the quality of what you produce?

Why are we drawn to or turn to the Law of Attraction?
There's something we want to change about our lives,
right? There are processes we engage in to get the
Law to work for us. Maybe we meditate, write or repeat
affirmations, use or wear symbols -- there are any
number of ways we approach this.

Why are some (many?) old guys loud and grabby --
and disgusting?
I was in McDonald's the other day and two decrepit
looking Old Geezers in 1970s polyester disco attire
swaggered up to the counter behind which were two
smiling teen age girls ready to take their order. One of
the Old Geezers reached across the counter to grab
the arm of one of the girls, while loudly proclaiming his
love for her. She giggled and stepped back toward the
manager who was standing nearby taking it all in. The
other teen stepped back to avoid a possible grab from
the other old guy. Judging from the interaction
between the teens and the Old Geezers, the girls
knew these two pests and knew how to deal with them.
